Where Are All The Costumes At?
The day before Halloween and I am at the Alife Party and no one is in costume. Not one. The party was solid, free grey goose and free beef for all, with DJs spinning.
Ok, so I wasn't either but I have a good excuse, my costume is huge and it is taking forever to build. I can't wait to wear it. Here is a sneak peak of the head.

I Heart Finale
I do not know many famous people. My friend used to go out with Grace Park from Battlestar Galatica, I have seen Kristen Kreuk, I bought Danny Aiello a appetizer once at Earls and I have met a good number of rappers, none I could call a friend.
I managed to get together with an old friend named Michelle Morgan, and she is on her way to becoming a famous actor. She has been in a bunch of stuff such as the L Word, and has a significant role in the show Heartland which has the actor who played Peter Caine in it from Kung Fu The Legend Continues. Big ups!!!!
Anyways, always cool to sit down and chat with a friend. Best of luck to you Michelle.

Pecha Kucha
Pecha Kucha- I have to admit, I had no idea what this was. My friend called me to check it out with her and I was really glad that I did.
Pecha Kucha - is a speaker event being held around the world by different organizing parties. It is basically a speaker session where the speakers are confined to a 20 X 20 format. 20 slides with each slide being on 20 seconds long. This allows the presentation never to get boring and force the speaker to be dynamic. They have to keep up with the slides or fill in time when they don't have enough to say about the slides. In Vancouver, there were speakers from Vancouver is Awesome, my friend Chris Allen, the owner of Hunt and Gather, and many more. It was a very good sitting and was very inspirational. I will be at the next one.

Mighty Mouse and more Bloggin
Matt is killing it with his food blog. We talked about the Finale blog briefly, and we decided to step up the posts. Matt is pretty prolific with his blog, I actually post quite a bit on my personal blog which is read about 3 people in the whole world. I'm going to start double posting from my personal blog from now on.
Apple went through a few mice before they came to the Mighty Mouse. Remember that hockey puck mouse? I dunno what they were thinking when they made that thing. Now the Mighty Mouse is a must have for me. The side force sensing buttons with expose is the shit. It makes my work flow much more efficient and it makes me feel like I was in the Minority Report. Use expose with the mighty mouse and show desktop with the hot corner is shit that I swear by.
Here is a total graphic design nerd thing. Now when people were using the old Power Macs would notice that the mouse operates slightly differently then from a PC mouse. Most people won't notice or care but if you are drawing with it all the time you will notice that the Power PC settings makes the mouse much slower and there is a different type of sensitivity. When I fully converted to Mac I had the hard time getting used to it. Now that I am on the Intel Macs, I found that the mouse speed has increased, before you had to get a freeware program to get the mouse to track faster.
Now when I get on a new Mac I make it a point to slow down the tracking cause I got used to the slower tracking speed from the old Power PC Mac's.
Man that was a nerdy post.

BBOY Reunion - Original Rudes Calgary
I was in Calgary for work but I managed to be in town for a local the Original Rudes Anniversary. This is cool, every year they put on a party and the members of the crew would fly in to showcase, have fun and chill. Some members that I have met and have achieved international popularity is Motion Sickness aka Moshe from Skills Method and Raul the Cool who now live is Montreal.
Here is a clip from the event.
I used to dance for a crew called Straight No Chaser but our generation dissolved but it was some fun years.

A Trip To The Printers.
It is weird that this day and age that screen printing is done by hand. With everything being automated, I find it funny that someone still has to put down a shirt on the press, and then place down the screen and run the ink through. I know they have automated presses but they usually don't use those unless your numbers are massive.
It is also very cool that brands still must shop around for their screener, to check past work to make sure they are up to par. A good screener is a very important ingredient in making a good shirt.
Here is a shot of the set up.

S-K-A-T-E
We had the privilege of being a part of Any Howells ArtsProjekt. Matt and I came up with a few ideas for the board. We decided that we would use original artwork rather then reusing one of our shirt graphics.
You can pick them up here.
