This is Why I'm Hot
Last night I checked the Royal Elastics party where Evidence and Mims were performing. It was a free show and I was trying to keep it a free night. So I spent the night chilling with friends and drinking off drink tickets. Mims impressed me, I really enjoyed his performance on stage.
I had a good friend that was helping out with the show and he helped me get some Finale gear on Mims. Check the pics. Respect to the Royal Elastics crew, Electric Army, Jimmy, Sean and all the other heads.

Sole Searching and Sneaker Pimps
Went to Sneaker Pimps and got to have a few beers with some old friends. There are a ton of blogs recapping the event but I wanted to share some memories with you all.
For those of you who don't know. I am co founder of a crew called Sole Searching. We did a couple of events in Vancouver, and one in Toronto and we did a few installations at Sneaker Pimps. We had a lot of fun and I had the pleasure of working with people from Nike Canada, Nike USA, adidas, New Balance, PF Flyers, EA, Sole Collector, Kicksclusive, Fila, Peace Magazine, and a ton more.
We really did put out a great show, and our themes behind our display cases were rad. We had an all Jordan case (props to Flat-footed for that), player exclusive case, special materials case, collaboration case, fine dining, dinner case, and way more.
We had a great time. I am going to share this collage of Sole Searching that I have on my wall with you guys. Check it out.
So I Creep
Got these joints in the mail the other day. I wish they were a little more grey or a little more black but I still love them.
They are called Coral Creepers and they are used by Navy Seals for landing missions. They have a little to no midsole so they can be worn with your swimming fins, they have a fully gusted tongue, four eyelets and water drain holes. The outsole is not the typical herring bone pattern, they are made to mimic small pebbles so when the Navy SEAL walks on the shore they don't leave a distinct footprint. It is weird cause the outsole has a small heel on it.
I ll have to walk on the beach to really see what kind of foot print I leave.

New Tool Bag
Living in Vancouver in a small apartment I do not have much space for tools. I really wish I had a dedicated workshop with saws, drill presses etc but I don't. I do have a tool kit worth of tools (screwdrivers, chisels, drills, dremels, bits).
I got a new tool kit from the surplus store, check it out. I am really feeling it and it cost me 20 bucks.
Looks like you can get it online here

Sneaker Pimps.
Tonight is the night. Last night met up with Peter and Clinton from Sneaker Pimps along with Jason from Hypebeast. Good to see Peter doing his thing.
For those who didnt know, my friends and I were the first ones doing sneaker shows in Canada, we did an event called Sole Searching. When Sneaker Pimps came to Canada a few years back, Peter was nice enough to contact us and wanted to work together. We ended our show that year but we teamed up for his event and did a few installations at his show.
Anyways I am going to head out to this tonight for a quick second and see what the crowd is like. Peter has done something amazing and it keeps going and going. Werd up man,

NEW CAMERA
I got me a new toy. My buddy Mendoza got my the Baby Holga a while back, and I bought a regular Holga a few months back. Now, my friend from the east coast who works for Psyop brought be back just what I needed, the instant film back for the Holga. Add this instant film/polaroid back to my Holga creates the Holgaroid or a 20 dollar plastic camera that is now worth 200 bucks and still feels like a piece of Chinese plastic.
I am really happy to now have a photo that I can hold in my hand. With everyone having digital cameras very few people actually print their pictures. This allows me to take pictures, give them away, put them on the wall, and all that fun stuff. Too bad each shot of film will run me about 2 bucks and I am still learning and tweaking the camera.
So far I love it but it feels real light, and images seem to be a little distant. Going to have to spend some time on the forums.
